PRAYER REQUEST!!!
(sorry for the lengthy explanation….)
I recently discovered that a fellow podcaster (and Christian), Gary Schumacher, has been viciously attacking little ol’ me on his podcast because he disagrees with my support of modern day prophecy.
I had no idea about any of this until he invited me to defend myself during the premiere of his latest video about me. I don’t care if he maligns me; I just want to glorify and honor Jesus Christ. So I prayed about it fervently and felt God prompting me to accept his invitation.
And that is how I ended up in the chatroom receiving a “humility training session” from Gary and his followers during his video premiere! (You can watch his video at https://youtu.be/lmT49YAn4Qs?si=acUU8IA2i5zDl9hm – just be warned that he isn’t very nice.)
I took all the insults with grace and humor and just tried to show the love of Christ. I think it struck a nerve because he sent me several messages afterwards thanking me for showing up, that it took courage and he respected me. He even apologized for all the mean things he said! (…although all of his videos blasting me are still online)
I told him I would make a response video (premieres this Monday) and he has promised to join us in the chatroom! This is a unique opportunity to reach out to a fellow believer who is using his platform to vilify other Christians. I think he’s got a good heart and could possibly be receptive to my humble message of unity. How amazing it would be to sow seeds of Christ’s love into this hostile community!
PRAYER REQUEST! I am asking for everyone to please pray that God would open Gary’s ears to my message of the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. I don’t care if he ever agrees with me; I am only seeking to encourage unity in the body of Christ. If you can join us for the premiere on Monday, awesome! (He’ll probably bring a bunch of his followers to the chatroom and they can be very rude, so please be nice!) If you can’t join us, please just pray.
