If you watch my podcast, you know that I regularly have vision experiences that I believe are from God, and I see angels… a lot. A lot of people ask me how they can also have visions and see angels.
Here’s my advice… don’t seek the visions and angels. Don’t seek the GIFTS. Seek the GIVER! Lean into JESUS! Spend time with Him in prayer and worship. Read His love letter to you, the Bible. Find other Christians who love Jesus and believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
If you do these things, God WILL reveal Himself to you, I promise. In some way, in some extremely personal, customized way just for YOU, Jesus WILL respond to your seeking Him. He WILL reveal Himself to you… it could be visions, or dreams, or words, or signs, or all of the above… or something completely different. There are millions of ways God can and does choose to communication with us.
But here’s the catch. There are other things in this mystical supernatural realm that can communicate with us as well, things that are not so nice or truthful, like demons and familiar spirits. And they can be very tricky. Delving into the supernatural realm can be very risky. It is your responsibility to train yourself how to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit. You do that by reading the Bible, praying, and spending time with other Christians who are committed to seeking Jesus. These are all very important.
If you aren’t willing to take the time to learn the voice of the Holy Spirit, then honestly you shouldn’t be delving into the supernatural because you will have no discernment and you will be targeted for deception.
