A lot of us are so disheartened by things that are happening in our world today. We feel as if death is chasing us. We hear its big black wings flapping up behind us, gaining ground, overtaking us. We feel the coldness of its shadow blocking out the sun. We don’t realize that these difficult days are instead going to bring life, great awakening, and desperately needed spiritual revival in our lives. This is actually a most amazing time to be alive. Some of us are very excited about what God has already begun to do in our communities, our country, and our world. We see the shadows of revival beginning all around us. But many of us won’t recognize it until it soars out beyond us.

Read more →I am mesmerized by the forest… by the intricacy of life in the woods. Every square millimeter teems with fantastic variety — mosses, insects, flowers, grasses, mushrooms, trees. Even the rocks are filled with ever changing life. Only the most magnificent God could create all of this from nothing. Woods are my worship. And my worship is simply to be astounded at how awesome is our God.
Read more →After lunch we decide to take a photo walk through the conservation area next to our property. The walk there is a shadeless section of the old log road that runs by our cabin. It is a messy mix of sticky mud, hard red clay, large rocks, and huge gulleys where the rain has washed it away. The road is difficult to walk on; the gravel shifts and slides under our heavy muck boots.
