Proverbs 21
“There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.” Proverbs 21:30
Sometimes it feels like Satan is winning the war. Things can seem pretty terrible down here. BUT KNOW THIS: GOD IS IN CHARGE. HIS PLAN WILL ALWAYS SUCCEED. “Victory rests with the LORD.” (v.31)
2 Corinthians 8
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
Jesus owns the universe. He possesses EVERYTHING, wealth unimaginable. He is God, a Holy perfect spirit being… yet He gave all that up to inhabit a cursed human body for 30 years. The height of Christ’s status compared to the baseness of we stupid humans is an unfathomable chasm. Jesus’ sacrifice for us was profound.
Isaiah 8
“Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The LORD Almighty is the one your are to regard as holy. He is the one you are to fear. He is the one you are to dread.” Isaiah 8:12-13
Wow, what more could I add to that word? Isaiah was prophesying about TODAY. Here are our instructions, God’s directions to us, His remnant:
“I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding His face from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him.” Isaiah 8:17
