Today: Psalms 107:10-22; Galatians 1; Isaiah 33, 34 & 35
Psalms 107
“Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind, for He breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.” Psalm 107:15-16
My experience has been that every time anyone humbles themselves by crying out to God for help, He ALWAYS responds. This has been true in my own life. I’ve observed it happen to others. And it happened over and over to the people in the Bible.
I also “sat in darkness; in utter darkness.” (v.10) I was the fool through my rebellious ways. When I cried to the LORD in my trouble, He brought me out of darkness and broke away my chains. He sent out His word and healed me. He rescued me from the grave.
“Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy.” Psalm 107:21-22

Isaiah 33-35
Every promise of God comes true. Every prophecy from God will come to pass. Isaiah’s prophecies often jump ahead to things that have not yet happened. But they WILL take place some day… maybe some day soon. You can believe it!
God promises a future day of judgment when “He will fill Zion with His justice and righteousness.” (v.33:5) Getting there will not be easy… “brave men [will] cry aloud in the streets; the envoys of peace [will] weep bitterly…. The land dries up and wastes away…” (v.33:7&9)
God will come as a consuming fire that will burn up all the wickedness in this current world; “the peoples will be burned to ashes.” (v.33:12) It will be a terrifying time. There will be much death and blood. “The LORD is angry with all nations; His wrath is on all their armies. He will totally destroy them, He will give them over to slaughter. Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will stink; the mountains will be soaked with their blood.” (v.34:2-3) It is coming.
But there IS a happy ending!
“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you.’ Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, and those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” Isaiah 35:3-10
