Psalms 92
“It is good to praise the LORD and make music to Your name, O Most High, proclaiming Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.” Psalm 92:1-3
In my case it is the music of my six-stringed guitar and my flute. I love to worship Jesus through music. I usually wake up early every morning to pray and worship. Now I sit outside under my pear tree looking out over the mist covered fields. I play my guitar and flute and sing for the grazing cows. I am accompanied by a symphony of crowing roosters.
These are my David mornings, out in the fields praising my God. I sing for joy at what God’s hands have done, His great works and profound thoughts.
God has sent Craig and I to this beautiful, peaceful place, planted us in His house where we can flourish and grow, where we will “still bear fruit in old age” and stay fresh and green,” where we will proclaim that “the LORD is upright; He is my Rock!” (v.15)
“Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever. But You, LORD, are exalted forever.” Psalm 92:6-8

1 Corinthians 3
Are we still living worldly lives? Engaging in jealousy and quarreling? Do we follow after certain people before we follow after God?
There is only one sure foundation and that is Jesus Christ. HE is the ONLY salvation, the only thing worthy of our worship. If we are striving for anything other than Christ, it is a waste of time. Earthly works will some day be burned up with God’s holy fire.
If you are surrendered to God, committed to following His guidance, seeking Him regularly — then you are exactly where He wants you. There are no ‘what ifs.’ There is no reason for anxiety, fear, doubt, or worry. You are in the palm of His caring hand, in the center of His will. If you don’t have something you want or think you need (like a certain type of ministry, or a life partner) then it is because He hasn’t given it to you yet. Don’t compare yourselves to others or be jealous. Look around you; examine where He has placed your right now. THIS is where He wants you. Live for Him right now, right where you are.
THE TIME IS NOW to worship Him with your entire life. Stop waiting. NOW is the time to seek Him with all your heart. NOW is the time to put Christ first and live in the fullness of His power, love, joy, peace, and victory.
ALL things are ours through Jesus Christ — ALL THINGS — “The world or life or death or the present or the future — ALL are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.” (v.22-23) Live in this truth, church! Stop running after temporary worldly things. Stop being afraid of a stupid virus. Stop worrying. GOD IS IN CONTROL and has won the victory over evil. HE wins and WE win through Him!
1 Chronicles 25
Music is very important to God. Musicians held prominent positions when David assigned various positions to the Levites. There was a specific ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals. They “prophesied, using the harp in thanking and praising the LORD.” (v.3) How beautiful!
288 people were “trained and skilled in music for the LORD” with “cymbals, lyres and harps for the ministry of the house of God.” (v.6-7) Music and worship was so important that they took shifts. 24 hours a day they worshipped and praised God!
I am a musician. I worship God every morning with my guitar, flute, and voice. I follow in the most fantastic of footsteps!
