The Tower of Babel wasn’t just something that happened a long time ago. We humans are ALWAYS building our own Towers of Babel — piling up our bricks of pride and wickedness, attempting to push God aside and get to heaven ourselves.

My Prophetic Dream

When I was ten years old, I had a prophetic dream that I believe describes what is happening to us today. I knew it was important when I had this dream as a child almost 45 years ago. I still remember it vividly and have told many people about it over the years. I never thought it was something I would see happen in my lifetime. When the COVID lockdowns and mask mandates began hitting us last year, I knew that my dream was coming true.

Coach God

Happiness

Depressed people often think happy people must have easy lives. Angry people think happy people are stupid. Bitter people think happy people are faking it. When people always excuse their own unhappiness, they never understand that the root, and solution, for their own unhappiness is within their own souls.

Satan’s Most Dangerous Trap

Satan will sometimes blast us with hardships or sickness. But even more often (especially in our wealthy western countries), the enemy will reel us into his clutches with an easy life. A life of comfort leaves us lethargically dog paddling around in the shallow waters, tucked comfortably into our recliners watching tv… never getting deep, never questioning, never crying out to God. A comfortable life is perhaps the enemy’s most dangerous trap of all.

Satan’s Tactics

When we ARE in love with Jesus, seeking Him, and committed to following Him, Satan doesn’t usually bother with those obvious temptations. We’ll see right through those. But he doesn’t give up and go away. He just changes his strategy.

Trusting the Bucket Operator

This morning I watched as city utility employees trimmed trees in front of my house in St. Charles. One man stood in the bucket lift high above the street as the other man guided it up and over electric wires, and between tree branches. It certainly wasn’t a smooth ride for the poor chap in the bucket.
