All we can manage is our OWN selves. If we, ourselves, focus on Christ, WE can become tiny harbingers of peace and love. That is all be can do. That is all we are called to do. FOCUS ON JESUS! HE will accomplish the rest. There is nothing good He cannot do through us when we only focus on HIM.

Our True and Proper Worship

I have occasionally had visions where I am lying on a stone altar. Sometimes in my visions, the fiery glory of God consumes the altar. Sometimes, Jesus Himself stands over me and pierces my heart with a sword. These sound like terrible visions! But they are actually quite fantastic, the most wonderful visions I could ever wish for myself. These represent spiritual state — a dying to myself and my own will so that I might be completely surrendered to God’s will. This is my prayer for myself!

Everyone Who Calls on the Name of the Lord

Jesus’ death and resurrection perfectly fulfilled the law of Moses. He lived a perfect life, never broke a single rule, and so became the holy sacrifice that covers all of our sins. Now salvation was available to EVERYONE! Now the Jews no longer needed to be our example of God’s favor. Jesus opened up God’s favor to ALL of us! Hallelujah!

Prodigal’s Brother Syndrome

Craig and I are prodigal Christians. Be both lived our own way without God for many years. We did a lot of bad things and made many terrible choices that hurt others and hurt ourselves. God saved us both in amazing, miraculous ways. We KNOW how bad we are without God. We KNOW we don’t deserve God’s mercy and forgiveness. We carry in our hearts a deep thankfulness that God reached down and saved us from ourselves.

Sin Is Our Default Position

Sin is our default position. That natural state of sin must be put to death so that our souls can live in communion with Christ. We do this by embracing Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection. The more we focus on Christ, the more the Holy Spirit will make us become like Him. We will know this is taking place when our desire to do sinful things grows less and less.
