Today: Psalms 89:30-37; Romans 11:33-36; Romans 12; 1 Chronicles 6

Romans 11

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them? For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:33-36

I love when Paul’s enthusiasm for God overwhelms him and he cannot contain his wonder and praise, such as in this passage from Romans 11. I feel this way often!

Romans 12

“Therefore, I urge your, brothers and sister, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2

I have occasionally had visions where I am lying on a stone altar. Sometimes in my visions, the fiery glory of God consumes the altar. Sometimes, Jesus Himself stands over me and pierces my heart with a sword. These sound like terrible visions! But they are actually quite fantastic, the most wonderful visions I could ever wish for myself. These represent spiritual state — a dying to myself and my own will so that I might be completely surrendered to God’s will. This is my prayer for myself!

1 Chronicles 6

I love that so much attention and importance was given to the temple musicians. Music is such an essential part of my daily worship. I love to start my mornings sitting outside on my porch singing to God!
