New Year’s Resolution for 2021

Have you made a new years resolution for 2021? I’ve got one for you… I’m challenging you to try practicing STILLNESS. I believe God is calling us to draw closer to him this year. Meditative prayer is one of the most powerful ways to seek God’s presence. It has profoundly changed my life. I invite you to explore meditative prayer with me along with reading through the Bible in a year. I’ll be posting reflections from my daily meditations, Scripture readings, and weekly videos on my Facebook Page. Daily Bible readings include an Old Testament and New Testament reading plus a Psalm or Proverb. Today’s the day… New Year’s Day! #BeStill

The Magic of the Forest

It certainly wasn’t a smooth ride for the poor chap in the bucket.

The Bumblebee and the Wasp

I am surprised to watch the wasp attack the bee, biting him on his fuzzy back with short quick jabs. I want to help the bee. I love bumblebees and their pollination duties are so needed. Plus I am no fan of the hot headed bothersome wasps. But I am barefoot and have nothing to swat with. So I watch and silently root for my bee.

Whippoorwills

I love night sounds in the country—the croaking tree frogs, whirring crickets, coyotes howling, owls hooting. I love it all! Well I love it all EXCEPT for ONE nightly critter call… those blasted whippoorwills!
