We ALL desire to be our own gods. Pridefulness is our default position.
But pridefulness has no place in true Christianity (although much of the Christian church is filled with it…)
If we truly want to follow and be used by Jesus, we must intentionally work to be humble. Humility never just happens.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves… Philippians 2:3
