Unity in the body of Christ does not mean that we agree about everything.
Unity in the body of Christ is not about our opinions. It is not accomplished in our minds.
True unity in the body of Christ isn’t something we DO at all. It only happens through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.
We don’t need to agree with each other… we only need to agree with the HOLY SPIRIT. Surely we can do that, can we not?
Can we agree that we want God’s will, whatever that might be? Can we agree that each of us are fallen human beings and only GOD is perfect, omniscient, omnipresent, sovereign and Almighty?
Can we agree that Jesus is God come in the flesh? Can we agree that we are saved only by the blood of Jesus Christ?
If we can agree that JESUS is LORD, that is enough. THAT IS HOW WE HAVE UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST!
